Choosing A Plasma TV Finding the right plasma TV is not easy because most plasma models do not follow the same standards set forth by
CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and LCD
displays. For example, plasma displays have a 16:9 aspect ratio and look
like rectangles as opposed to the square 4:3 aspect ratio of CRT and LCD
displays.
Most applications only
require a standard 42" plasma display, which has an 852 x 480 resolution.
When you need more video detail, HDTV for example, or the ability to show
XGA computer data, then you should look at the high-end 50" displays from
Pioneer and NEC.
