Privacy

Information Collection and Use
1-800-Plasmas, Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others at any time.

We request information from the user on our order form and other feedback forms. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information used to get in touch with the customer.

We use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Security

This web site takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the web site, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our web-based forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) that information is encrypted and is protected with the industry standard encryption software - SSL. While on a secure page such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our office. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.

Return Policy - Damages at Delivery

Visible shipping damage MUST be reported immediately. Do not accept the shipment if the package is visibly damaged. IF DAMAGE IS OBSERVED, PLEASE REFUSE THE DISPLAYS AND HAVE THE DRIVER RETURN THE UNIT IMMEDIATELY. Report all physical damage to the driver, and have them clearly mark the Bill of Lading (shipping invoice) before signing. The window of opportunity to file a claim with the shipping companies is limited. Please DO NOT sign the bill of lading until you have fully inspected the unit for damage. Once you have opened the box while the driver waits, please check the screen for cracks or any other type of physical damage. If everything looks good, then sign the shipping invoice (bill of lading).

Concealed damages must be reported within 48 HOURS of receiving the product.

We recommend plugging the display in (ideally within 24hrs.), and making sure the unit turns on properly. Please do not wait until your installer arrives to determine if the display is in proper working order.

In order to issue the RMA we need:

  • Your name or company name

  • Product serial number

  • Model number of the product

  • Date of shipment

  • Description of the problem

  • Daytime phone telephone number you can be reached at

  • Your e-mail address (if applicable)

  • Please do not write the RMA number on the box. This makes it non-resalable and you will be charged for replacing the box. Please display the number on the shipping label.

The first step is to contact our Customer Service Center at 1-800-752-7627 and let them know what the situation is regarding the unit.

Return Policy - Defective Merchandise

Policies regarding defective merchandise vary by manufacturer. Please contact 1-800-752-7627 (sales@1800plasmas.com) prior ordering for information regarding a manufacturer's specific policies on defective plasma displays.

Problems After Display is Hooked Up (and has been operating already)

Once your plasma display arrives and the initial condition is fine, the chance of a defect occurring is MOST prevalent in the first hours of operation. The manufacturer's warranty becomes effective once the plasma unit has been signed for by you on the trucking documents. Following installation, set-up and use, any defects or technical problems with the display are covered under the manufacturer's warranty (usually 1 year). Most manufactures offer in-house service. We do not repair displays. We can assist you in contacting the manufacturer for warranty related issues. NO REPLACEMENT UNIT CAN BE OFFERED AFTER 2 WEEKS. THIS IS ENFORCED BY OUR MANUFACTURES. You should keep all packing material while the unit is under warranty.

Some manufacturers elect to repair ALL defective displays in lieu of replacement. This varies by manufacturer and it can cause a defective display to be shipped to the manufacturer's repair rep for several days. Although rare, these types of repairs do occur from time to time.

Return Policy - Non-Defective Merchandise

All non-defective returns must be returned within 14 days and are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Restocking fees do not apply to defective merchandise that is being replaced. Returning products with the warrantee card completed or goods not in their original packaging will be refused. Plasma displays are shipped via freight carrier and are insured for safe arrival.

All non-defective returns (subject to the restocking fee) must be in a resalable condition including original packaging and packaging materials, all cords, cartons cables, documentation, and warranty materials and registration forms. All items must be in like-new condition, including the merchandise, accessories, literature and packaging materials.

What if I don't like the product and want a refund?

All returns of non-defective goods are subject to a 30% restocking fee (We have to sell the used products at a 33% reduction). No refund or Exchanges are done after 14 Days.

1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. is not held responsible for any returned shipping charges. Refunds to customer credit cards are done once the merchandise has arrived and and has been inspected. At no time will a refund be made prior to the merchandise arriving back to the warehouse.

All sales are final on special order items which includes, Mounts, Plasma Stands, External Processors, Desk Stands, Extended Warranties, Shipping Charges, and Carrying Cases.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled no later than one business day prior to shipment. No returns for credit/refund will be accepted thereafter. Non-defective merchandise may be returned within 7 days from the shipment date and will be subject to a 30% restocking fee. In addition to restocking fees, shipping fees may be levied for orders cancelled after shipment.

An order placed through our online shopping cart does constitute an official purchase. Failure to cancel a shopping cart order before shipment will result restocking and shipping fees. Orders place via telephone also constitute an order and are also subject to restocking and shipping fees. Orders cancelled after the merchandise has shipped, regardless of whether it has delivered, will be subject to a 30% restocking fee unless circumstances beyond our control created the need for the cancellation.
1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. has sole discretion regarding order cancellation once merchandise has shipped.

Shipping Information

All Plasma TVs are shipped using freight shipping companies with expertise in handling fragile electronics equipment. Shipping charges listed on this web site include handling and insurance. Expedited shipping methods can be added at additional costs. Delivery time is based on your location. Typical delivery time is 3 to 5 business days. All plasma displays ship fully insured. Due to the fragile nature of plasma displays, we do not ship Next Day methods.

All products must be inspected within 24 hours of receipt for defects in order to exchange for a replacement. Many of our products include a one year warranty. Customers cannot pick the displays up at the shipping warehouse. 1-800-PLASMAS will not be responsible for shipping damage of any kind if the unit has been picked up, and driven to your address after signing the shippers invoice (bill of lading). We advise you only let the shipping companies handle delivery to your address.

No Sales Tax

1-800-Plasmas, Inc. does not charge sales tax, except for customers located in New York State. This can amount to significant savings on the final cost of your plasma display product. New York State customers are charged 8.25% Sales Tax.

Credit Card Use

1-800-Plasmas, Inc. accepts Visa & Mastercard for purchases via this web site and via telephone, mail or fax. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases with us. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file). Incorrect information may cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed upon shipment of your order. Certain situations may require the cardholder to contact the card issuing bank to authorize the purchase. The phone number for the bank issuing the credit card is on the backside of the card. 1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. will verify the account information on ALL credit card orders. This includes, but is not limited to, contacting the card issuing bank to verify account information and requiring the bank to contact the cardholder directly. 1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. may require additional information to be provided, such as identification, signed authorization, additional contact information or third party verification. Authorization With Card Issuing Bank 1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. urges customers to pre-authorize purchases with the card issuing bank to avoid delays in order processing.

Security Code

1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. requires the security code (located on the reverse side of all credit cards) to be provided for all orders.

Alternate Shipping Addresses

1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. requires ALL cardholders to add an alternate shipping address to their credit card account with their bank if the plasma display is shipping to an address other than their billing address.

Chargebacks

1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. will dispute all chargebacks in which "friendly fraud" or other suspicious activity is involved. We consider "friendly fraud" to be any instance in which the cardholder has knowledge of the purchase and then attempts to dispute the charge after receiving the merchandise. We have state-of-the-art methods of verifying the cardholder's knowledge of the purchase before any merchandise is shipped. 1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any order placed by credit card if any aspect of the order appears to be suspicious. All instances of credit card fraud, including unsuccessful attempts, will be pursued and prosecuted to full extent of the law.

Pricing Policy

1-800-PLASMAS. Inc. does not offer price protection for its sales. With the rapid advancement of today's technology, it would be impossible to lock prices in while new models are being released. Unpredicted price drops are quite common. Please do not inquire about a refund if a model has a price drop a week after you purchase one.

Pixel Policy

1-800-PLASMAS, Inc. only sells brand new units of the highest quality available. Occasionally a plasma display may have one or more stuck (bad) pixels. Return policies from manufacturers vary depending on the actual number of bad pixels and their placement. Our suppliers randomly checks units for this very issue. The instances of bad pixels has been rare. The issue of bad pixels does not qualify a unit as defective or DOA (Dead On Arrival), but the unit may be returned to the manufacturer for evaluation. Every occurrence will be treated on a case by case basis. Any dead pixels or other pixel related anomalies must be referred to a certified technician for inspection and verification before any RMA will be issued.
